Links for le weekend

Hey all! Thanks so much for taking some time to check out and join A Beautiful Journey this week! I can’t wait to share more with you next week. I’d love to hear what you think or if you have any ideas to share; don’t be shy, leave a comment!

Here are a few  of my favorite links and stories from this week …

Have you seen Gatsby le Magnifique/ The Great Gatsby yet? It’s on my to-do list, as is one of these Gatsby inspired escapes.

Which Cannes premiere are you looking forward to seeing? I can’t wait to see Le Passè/The Past, a new movie by Iranian director, Asghar Farhadi, starring the lovely Berenice Bejo.

This gallery of photos from past and present Cannes will take you on a glamorous journey and don’t miss Miss at la Playa‘s impeccable gallery of Cannes 2013. Emma Watson is adorable.

Only a week and a half left of the Chanel #5 exhibit at the Palais de Tokio in Paris. I had the chance to see it this month and definitely recommend it if you are in Paris, if not take a virtual tour via Refinery 29.

The fleeting light of an Early Evening in Paris is la vie en rose.

If you’re dreaming of Paris, but can’t hop on a plane at the moment, check out The Paris Journal, an incredible multimedia/photography book that will take you on a tour of the city of love or back to your favorite neighborhood via your iPad.

And finally, Georges Moustaki, beloved French singer songwriter passed away this week. Check out NPR’s report about his friendship and partnerships with Edith Piaf, and enjoy a few of his songs, Ma Liberté and Le Métèque.

Bon week-end! Hasta pronto! See you next week!
