Happy summer y’all! It is officially here, so I’m taking the weekend off. We’ve had the hottest week here in Dijon making the perfect weather for ice-cream, cold beer and Fête de la Musique tonight! Fete de la Musique is a national music festival bringing musicians and dancers to the street from Paris to the tiniest villages all over France marking the start of summer. Such a great way to celebrate the start of the new season. How are you welcoming in summer this weekend?

If you’re escaping the heat inside, here are a few links for your weekend! Enjoy!

The new cookbook Homemade Summer looks like a great place to find some delicious Provence inspired recipes for the summer.

Will you be having house guests this summer? Elements of Style has some fantastic ideas about how to make your guests feel like mi casa es su casa.

I’d love to spend a few weeks in this Brazilian summer abode.

Speaking of Fête de la Musique, this song is for the summer – makes me want to dance everytime.

Malabar is my new French sugar obsession, just  15 cents a pop.

The quintessential French market basket gets a DIY.

I’m hoping to find a chair like this in a flea market, fingers crossed!

Finally, soem great tips: from the Liberated Traveller, if you’re heading to Paris this summer get in touch with Paris Greeters for an authentic tour of a Parisian neighborhood with a local! And, via Christine in Spain, if you’re headed to Madrid, you have to take Madrid Food Tour, jamon, and churros, and pintxos, oh my!

Don’t forget to join me on Pinterest and Instagram!

Thanks for reading!!

Bon weekend! Besos! See you on Monday!
